If I obtain a Jewish divorce, is a civil divorce still necessary?

A get, or Jewish divorce, is something you would obtain in addition to a Florida civil divorce. It is not a substitute for a Florida civil divorce. As such, a Florida civil divorce is still required if you want to be legally divorced. A get will not do that in the United States.
