David has litigated, mediated, and negotiated contested Florida divorce actions for over four (4) decades. He knows how the court system works and how agreements can be tested by attorneys.
David has negotiated and prepared prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for over three (3) decades. This is invaluable experience for this highly specialized and complex area of family law in which many attorneys will not participate. It can be difficult to analyze complex personal facts and needs and then incorporate them into an agreement that must peer deep into the distant future.
David is much more than just a lawyer. He has over four (4) decades of business ownership experience (a law firm and real estate development and management company) both with and without partners. In addition, during his first approximately 15 years of lawyering (1985 – 2000) he dedicated a portion of his law practice to business owner clients (in house counsel for small companies), real estate, securities, and bankruptcy. This was an age of less specialization than today. Prior to law school David attended the University of Florida college of business administration where his bachelor’s degree focused on economics and accounting. David also taught “business law” to college students.
